Collaborate with Yu
Help shape Britain's first Japanese-inspired public bathhouse
Yū is inspired by Japan's onsen towns, where bathhouses sit alongside gardens, galleries, cafés and local businesses. Together, they create places where people slow down, explore and spend time well.
We're looking to connect with organisations whose audiences and values naturally align with our own. Whether you're a museum, gallery, garden, independent restaurant, brewery, tea merchant, artisan maker or community organisation, we'd love to start a conversation about how Yū could complement what you already do through shared ideas, future events, reciprocal recommendations or other forms of collaboration.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Thousand Cranes Club

The Thousand Cranes Club is the founding community helping bring Yū into existence.

The Threshold
Shoes left at the door.
A breath.
A pause long enough to feel the world fall away
The Arrival
A welcome, like a returning:
Strawberry matcha in summer,
Yuzu barley tea in winter
A signiture reset for the senses
The Campanula Yukata
Change into soft Tenkan cloth
light, simple, undemanding.
Kentish classic and Japanese symbol of enduring love.
A small ceremony of becoming unhurried.

The Garden Path
A slow walk among maples, bamboo and Kentish light.
Borrowed scenery, shifting seasons, the soft sound of water.
A reminder that change can be gentle. Each Ritual is simple
Together, they reshape the day
and the self
A Different Kind of Bathhouse
Two bathing halls.
Two gardens.
A year shaped by the seasons.
Yū is being created as a place to return to again and again, whether for a quiet weekday soak or a special seasonal gathering.
